Carnegie Historical Museum
The museum is named for industrialist, Andrew Carnegie, who endowed the Jefferson County Public Library in 1892. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum’s home is the first of 1,689 library buildings which Carnegie funded nation-wide.
Fairfield Cultural Alliance
The FCA awards yearly mini-grants for projects, holds networking events for artists and cultural participants, and annual Cultural Contribution awards.

Fair Field Productions
Fair Field Productions is a local non-profit educational organization partnering with Fairfield Media Center to produce the Fairfield History Series – eight films that depict the history of Fairfield Iowa.
History of Parson’s College
Parson’s College was a liberal arts college located in Fairfield, Iowa. The college closed in 1973 and in August 1974, the campus was purchased by what is now known as Maharishi University of Management.
The Maasdam Barns
In 1910, J.G. Maasdam erected two barns, next to an existing barn, where he bred Belgian Percheron and other draft horses until 1938. The site includes the Maasdam Barns and a museum.
